What we treat
Psychiatric care for the conditions that matter most
We provide comprehensive, evidence-based assessment and treatment for a range of adult mental health conditions, with appointments available in person in Denistone or via telehealth across Australia.
Anxiety Disorders
Generalised anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, and specific phobias.
Anxiety disorders are among the most common psychiatric conditions — and among the most treatable. Dr Cho conducts a thorough assessment to identify the specific type of anxiety you're experiencing, rule out contributing medical factors, and develop a structured treatment plan.
Depression
Major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder, and low mood.
Depression is more than feeling sad — it affects how you think, sleep, eat, and function day to day. A psychiatric assessment goes beyond a checklist: Dr Cho explores the full picture, including any previous episodes, family history, and contributing life factors, to arrive at an accurate diagnosis and a treatment plan tailored to you.
ADHD
Comprehensive adult ADHD assessment and ongoing management.
ADHD is frequently underdiagnosed in adults. Our assessment process is thorough and evidence-based, drawing on clinical interview, validated rating scales, and collateral history where available. If ADHD is confirmed, we discuss all management options — including medication, psychoeducation, and strategies for work and daily life.
Bipolar Disorder
Accurate diagnosis and long-term mood stabilisation.
Bipolar disorder is often misdiagnosed as depression alone, which can lead to ineffective or harmful treatment. Dr Cho takes a careful longitudinal approach — reviewing your full mood history — to ensure an accurate diagnosis. Ongoing management focuses on mood stabilisation, medication monitoring, and relapse prevention.
Eating Disorders
Anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and ARFID.
Eating disorders are serious psychiatric conditions that require specialist assessment and coordinated care. Dr Cho provides thorough psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management where appropriate, working collaboratively with dietitians, psychologists, and GPs to support recovery. We see adults and young people aged 16 and over.
Autism Spectrum Disorder
Diagnostic assessment and psychiatric support for adults and young people.
Many adults and young people reach adulthood without a formal ASD diagnosis, which can affect access to support, workplace accommodations, and self-understanding. Dr Cho conducts comprehensive diagnostic assessments for individuals aged 16 and over, drawing on clinical interview, validated tools, and collateral history. We also support those already diagnosed who need psychiatric management of co-occurring conditions.
Medication Management
Review, optimise, or initiate psychiatric medication with a specialist.
Whether you've been on psychiatric medication for years or are considering it for the first time, a specialist review ensures your treatment is appropriate, effective, and well-tolerated. Dr Cho takes the time to explain how medications work, what to expect, and how to monitor for side effects — so you can make informed decisions about your care.
Telehealth Consultations
Attend appointments from anywhere in Australia.
All consultations — including initial assessments — are available via secure video call. Telehealth appointments offer the same standard of care as in-person visits, with the added convenience of attending from home or work. Medicare rebates are available for eligible patients.
Our approach to treatment
Psychiatry done properly takes time. We don't rush assessments or hand out diagnoses lightly.
Thorough assessment first
Every new patient receives a comprehensive psychiatric assessment. We review your full history before making any diagnosis or treatment recommendation.
Evidence-based treatment
All recommendations are grounded in current clinical guidelines. We explain the evidence behind every option so you can make an informed choice.

We work alongside your GP, psychologist, and other treating clinicians. Detailed letters are sent after every appointment to keep your care team informed.
